Lake Raleigh Woods

  • Lake Raleigh Woods consists of approximately 96 acres and is situated on the Centennial Campus of North Carolina State University, west of the Alumni Center. The area has been designated as a “hallowed place” and is an important part of the university's dedication to environmental stewardship.  Both the Centennial Middle School and the Friday Institute border Lake Raleigh Woods on its south side while the future Chancellor’s Residence sits adjacent on its eastern border. The rich diversity of flora and fauna make the area an ideal location for both educational and recreational activities such as class outings, research, hiking and bird watching.
